The General Meeting of the American Physical Society is usually held for discussion of thermic topics in the scientific society; that is what the public knows and expects benefits upon. However, the 1986 meeting did not meet that expectation. On 31 March-4 April 1986, the meeting was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States; the hotels and casinos lost much more money than what they earned from the cost of 4000 rooms reservation. Literally, the physicists were asked to never come back. That was not because the physicists were cheaters but because of their complete knowledge of the statistics of gambling and to seize the opportunity to conduct scientific meetings.

Las Vegas is the home of the most known gaming revenue for
all people from the world corners unless you’re a physicist. Physicists, as
their habits, see gambling, by intuition, as a loose game of chance. Their
philosophy argues conceptual and interpretational of everyday issues in a way
that no one else can do; from the tiny elementary particles to the edge of the
universe. They could, in principle, imagine possibilities that the game maker
does not take into account. So, in their
1986 meeting, they were more interested in discussing their work than in anything
else the hotel had to offer, avoiding the worthless trials. Not only that, they
avail themselves of the discount corners. The income of the hotels and casinos
was so low that some of the managers requested them not to come back to Las
Vegas.

held again at Las Vegas, Nevada, USA; after 37 years after the 1986 March.
